Orkney Islands Council’s Local Heat and Energy Efficiency Strategy (LHEES) sets out how We will tackle greenhouse gas emissions from all buildings in the county. We will also improve residents’ quality of life by minimising poor energy efficiency as a driver of fuel poverty. Orkney Islands Council, and Scotland as a whole, aim to be net zero by 2045. This is a challenging target and the LHEES is a key step in planning our approach to achieving this goal.
The purpose of this consultation is to enable stakeholders to review the draft strategy and identify areas where the strategy could be made stronger or where it needs to address a subject not sufficiently covered.
The consultation is your opportunity to contribute to the process and improve the LHEES Strategy.
