Residential Tenancy Law - Tenants Survey

1. About this survey

0%

The Minister for Housing has proposed changes to the law, which sets out the rules for tenants and landlords in relation to rental properties.

The Minister has stated that his purpose in amending Jersey’s Residential Tenancy Law (States Assembly | P.24/2025 – Draft Residential Tenancy (Jersey) Amendment Law 202-) is to improve conditions for renters and provide them with more certainty in the security of their lease and affordability of their rent.

This survey has been developed by the Environment, Housing and Infrastructure Panel as part of its Review of the changes to find out what views tenants in Jersey have about how the proposed changes will affect them.

Government information for landlords and tenants on the proposed changes is available here: Government of Jersey - QAs Residential Tenancy Law
