Installation of stoves – ceiling and wall-hung appliances

The British Standards Institute (BSI) Standards Development group, RHE/28 - Residential solid fuel burning appliances, is currently undertaking revisions to BS8303, the standard for the ‘installation of domestic heating and cooking appliances burning wood and solid mineral fuels’. The current version of the standard is available here.

As a Committee Member of RHE/28 HETAS would like to hear the experiences of our registrants to help steer the revisions of BS8303. We have a particular focus on the installation of ceiling and wall hung appliances, following the inclusion of new subclause, 6.1.3 Ceiling and Wall Hung Appliances into the revised draft of the standard. Your experiences around the supply and installation of such appliances will be valuable in supporting revisions to the standard.
