Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS) Public Consultation

0%

This consultation seeks public input on Suffolk’s Local Nature Recovery Strategy (LNRS). This strategy aims to restore and enhance nature. The strategy maps areas of potential importance for nature and the actions that could achieve this. The consultation will help ensure the strategy reflects the needs and views of local communities, stakeholders, and experts.

Please note, if you are using the Local Habitat Map to submit feedback, opening the LNRS Local Habitat web maps on iOS devices may cause the map to reload unexpectedly or become unresponsive due to a known bug on the ESRI platform. This is related to how iOS manages memory and processing. For best performance and full functionality, we recommend viewing the map on a desktop or laptop computer.

About us:

This consultation is produced by Suffolk County Council in partnership with Norfolk County Council through the Norfolk and Suffolk Nature Recovery Partnership. Throughout the process, Supporting Authorities, such as the District and Borough councils have inputted into this draft.

What is a LNRS?
LNRS's are part of a nationwide move to create the space and connectivity needed for nature to thrive, recover and be resilient. A key objective for the LNRS is to support the establishment of a national Nature Recovery Network (NRN) and 48 LNRS's will be developed across England  to help deliver it. They are required by the Environment Act 2021 and aim to identify opportunities and priorities for recovering habitats and species at the local level.
