Privacy statement
What information do we need from you?
The survey will ask for information about what you feel should be included in the course and what values you think District Nurses should have. We will not ask for any special category information. The survey questions are not designed to elicit personal information about you and the level of detail that you provide is entirely up to you. However, should you provide additional personal information this may be included in the report. You will not be asked for your name or contact details.
As the survey is online via SmartSurvey, your IP address will be automatically collected but won’t be used to process the survey responses. SmartSurvey is GDPR compliant, and their privacy policy can be found on their website.
What happens with the information in the project?
The survey responses will be analysed and used inform the District Nurse Specialist Practitioner course content. The information, including quotes, may be featured in future reports focusing on health care services but will not be attributed to specific individuals. The report may be shared specifically with funders and partners of the ALLIANCE, including the Scottish Government, and shared publicly and worldwide via the ALLIANCE website and social media. The ALLIANCE may use the survey findings and quotes in other relevant reports, publications, policy responses and on social media.
Retention of Data
Published data will be included within reports and retained permanently. The ALLIANCE will keep the survey raw data for two years from the report being published, after which it will be deleted from SmartSurvey.
Your rights
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, we will not be able to remove information already included in statistical information that is no longer identifiable and will only be able to stop using any identifiable information in future reports and publications. Once published, the ALLIANCE will not be able to control how others use the information.
You also have the right to object to how we process your personal information, the right to access, correct, sometimes delete and restrict the personal and sensitive personal information we use. Together with the right to receive your information in a machine-readable format for transfer to another organisation and not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling.
Data Protection
The ALLIANCE and its sub-contractors will not distribute or disclose your personal information to third parties unless we have your written permission or are required by law to do so. We comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR 2018 when handling your personal information. If you have any concerns about how we use your personal information, contact Director of Corporate Services at: DPO@alliance-scotland.org.uk. Alternatively, you have the right to complain to the ICO on their website.
