FSB Survey for London Mayoral Elections
As we enter our 50th year as a lobbying voice, FSB are looking to ask a few questions of small business owners in the capital around transport, skills and business crime (areas where the Mayor has ultimate control over) to help inform our manifesto for the Mayoral/London Assembly Elections on the 2nd May 2024.
Please do share the link with your London business contacts.
1. Transport costs make it difficult to recruit staff in London. To what extent would subsidised public transport help low paid workers and low income self-employed people in London and assist in recruitment too?
2. Business crimes are not always reported, making statistics unreliable and complex to report on. Would an easy to access web portal/App system to report a crime mean you would be more likely to report a crime if your business was targeted?
3. How likely would you utilise the offer of support to recruit and train staff (and/or yourself) if it was accompanied by a financial support incentive?
4. Environmental and sustainability are major concerns for small businesses. What single request would you ask the Mayor for supporting your business in the drive to net zero by 2030? (75 word max.)
5. What other priorities would you like FSB to engage a future Mayor of London on?
(100 words max)
6. If you would like to get more involved with our lobbying activities, please contact Sarah.King@fsb.org.uk and do remember you can help with our lobbying of the ‘big politicians’ direct by giving us 10 minutes of your time every month by signing up at FSB Big Voice
