What is this questionnaire?

We want to know your ideas about how to make your community a better place. Your input will help to inform and develop our Community Action Plan for the next 5 years, 2023-2028.

Why is it important?

The survey results will be used to help put together a Community Action Plan which will identify the main priorities for development in Drongan, Rankinston & Stair over the next 5 years. A Community Action Plan will help local groups to secure funding and support for the main projects and developments that people would like to see.  The Action Plan will also be the basis for the community making representation and working in partnership with East Ayrshire Council, other agencies and organisations.

The 9 Community Council Group (9CC) was formed by 9 Community Councils within the Cumnock and Doon Valley area to ensure that community benefit generated from the windfarms within the area is spent on the community needs and aspirations. With in excess of £50 million coming into the Cumnock and Doon Valley communities, which will be shared across the communities, the community-led action plan will play a major role in how we identify the key priorities in the area. We would like to encourage everyone to get involved and to THINK BIG when completing your survey.

What happens next?

Your ideas and priorities will be presented to be voted on by the whole community. Refreshments and entertainment will be provided. From your responses and votes we will establish the priorities and produce the Drongan Rankinston & Stair Community Action Plan 2023-2028.

Who are “we”?

We are volunteers from Drongan, Rankinston & Stair acting as a steering group to gather the views of the communities, and from that produce and take forward our Community Action Plan. This work is supported by East Ayrshire Council, Vibrant Communities.
