Suffolk County Council A12 Major Road Network Consultation Survey

0%

Introduction

The A12 is a key route in East Suffolk, linking Ipswich and Lowestoft. As part of Suffolk’s Major Road Network (MRN), it provides an important connection for local communities, visitors, access to the Energy Coast, and, ultimately, our local economy.

About the proposals

We’re consulting on a range of proposals along the A12, between the A14/Seven Hills junction and the A1152/Woods Lane junction.

These proposals would help to tackle congestion, provide space for future growth and improve conditions for all road users including pedestrians and cyclists.

These proposals include:

· New dual carriageway section between the B1438 and B1079 at Woodbridge.

· Upgrades to key junctions along the A12.

· Public transport improvements, including a new bus-link and a new mobility hub in Martlesham.

· Walking and cycling improvements, including upgrading the existing Martlesham footbridge.
