Share your experiences to improve eye care services

Healthwatch England is the patient and social care champion for England. Healthwatch England is undertaking a project about understanding people’s experiences of optometry and ophthalmology across England. We are working with local Healthwatch to hear people’s on-the-ground experiences of eye care services.

We’ll use your feedback to help identify what's working well and whether any changes could improve the care people get.

In this survey, we will ask you:

  • About your experience of eye care services in the last two years, including individuals who have in the past or are currently waiting for any specialist eye care treatment.
  • Optional information about you, including your ethnicity, financial status, and whether you have any long-term conditions or disabilities. This information will help us understand how different groups experience eye care services to reduce inequalities.

If you do not feel comfortable answering any of these questions, you can respond “prefer not to say,” and you will have the option to skip some of them.

We’ll use this survey responses to understand people’s experiences and report to the NHS what is working and how to improve care. We will not share any data that will identify you.
