Volunteer in a chosen sport or activity to help make a\ difference!
Active Schools are looking for anyone who would be able to and wiling to give up some time to volunteer with extra curricular or community sport activity. It will provide a great opportunity for the children to be able to take part in some fun games and activity which could be a benefit to their health and mental well being. It could also be of benefit to you with some up skilling, more experience, or doing things which may be out with comfort zones.
It may be you can commit to a small block of activity or a full year with a sports team, but whatever you can do we can arrange to suit and try and be flexible to suit availability.
If you are interested you will be asked and supported to apply for the Vibrant Communities volunteer framework. This cover all important checks and provides you with the PVG required to work with children. There are also free online training courses to complete. Support will be provided from Active Schools with mentoring, feedback, providing games / session ideas if required and any potential further training that can be offered such as basic games, specific sports.
