What is a PSPO?
Public Spaces Protection Orders (PSPOs) have been introduced by the Government to help us tackle anti-social behaviour locally, so that public spaces can be enjoyed by everyone.

What are the proposals being put forward by Guildford Borough Council?

We are seeking views on:

  • extending the Guildford Town Centre PSPO for a further three years
  • amending the prohibited behaviours to be included in the revised PSPO
  • a proposal to extend the geographic area that the PSPO covers to include Black Cat Alley off the bottom of the Farnham Road, where there have been reports of anti-social behaviour
Please read the proposed PSPO, including the proposed boundary map, before commenting.
If you wish to compare the proposals with the current Town Centre PSPO they are also on the website.

When will the survey close?
This survey will close at midnight on Tuesday 25 February 2025.

What happens next?
The views we collect will help us decide the future of the Guildford Town Centre PSPO. The results of the consultation, and the decisions taken on the PSPO, will be published on our website. We expect a decision to be taken by the Executive in March 2025, so will publish it in early April.
