1. Thank you for taking the time to participate in this survey—we truly appreciate your input. This survey is designed to understand your experiences with the live music event licensing process, with a particular focus on London. It should take around 15 minutes to complete.

This research is being conducted by the Runnymede Trust, the UK’s leading race equality think tank, in collaboration with Black Lives in Music, an organisation dedicated to addressing racial inequality in the music industry. We are exploring how the live music event licensing process may be racialised and whether live event cancellations disproportionately affect Black and Brown events.

Your privacy and safety are our top priorities. We are committed to the highest standards of safeguarding, data protection, and anonymity. Your responses will remain completely confidential and anonymous—no personally identifiable information will be collected.

All data will be securely stored by the Runnymede Trust in line with our data protection policies and will be deleted once the research is complete, in full compliance with data protection laws.

By continuing with this survey, you confirm your understanding and consent to these procedures.

Your voice matters, and we deeply value your time and honest feedback as we work towards meaningful change.
