Careers and work-related experiences(CWRE) is one of the five cross-cutting themes in the Curriculum for Wales which aims to help learners understand the relationship between their learning and the world of work.

It should also support them to identify opportunities and pathways for their career and employment for when they leave full-time education. Where appropriate, teachers will be expected to use careers and employers as contexts for teaching.

Purpose of this survey

With this survey, Isle of Anglesey County Council is looking to understand the needs of local businesses on Anglesey and identify how employers and schools can work together to improve work-related opportunities for the workforce of the future on our island.

It is possible that a list of employers on the island will be created and shared with schools, indicating those which are open to engaging with schools on the curriculum.
