The GCC Code is integral to ensuring high quality professional practice. It sets out for patients the quality of care they are entitled to receive from chiropractors. For chiropractors, they are the benchmarks of conduct and practice they will be measured against if a complaint is made to the GCC.
The current Code, the fifth edition, was published on 30 June 2015 and came into effect on 30 June 2016.
In 2024 we are reviewing the Code – together we can strengthen standards where patients and professionals tell us they want more robustness; and develop futureproof standards to help chiropractors navigate changes in technology, techniques and patient expectations.
We’d like the new Code of practice and standards to be connected to the core values that chiropractors like you hold in your professional life. We are keen to understand how you define the principles and ethics that guide your behaviour and actions.
