The Dementia Quality of Life (DEMQOL) survey is a tool used to measure the quality of life of individuals with dementia.
It consists of eight questions that ask about different aspects of well-being, such as happiness, relaxation, frustration, and confidence.
The participant answers each question on a scale from 0 to 4, with higher scores indicating a better quality of life. The scores are added up to get a total score, which ranges from 0 to 32. Higher scores indicate a better quality of life, while lower scores indicate a poorer quality of life.
The DEMQOL is a self-reported measure that can be used to better understand an individual's quality of life and guide appropriate interventions.
