This is the application form for funding for a workshop as part of the ICMS' Mathematics for Humanity initative (funded by the EPSRC).  The workshops will take place in 2025 or 2026.

Proposal
In addition to the brief description, you should provide a proposal in support of for your research course or seminar application. Please read the submission guidelines carefully. The proposal should be no more than six A4 pages in length. In addition to the scientific case, make sure you give a clear case for the potential benefit of the activity to humanity. You should also send a summary c.v. for each organiser, publication details etc

13. Budget: The budget for five-day workshops is approximately £30,000 and can be allocated in a number of ways. We recommend that you charge a registration fee of £150 to contribute towards subsistence during the meeting. For example, ICMS workshop funds typically provide accommodation, subsistence and contributions towards travel for around 30 participants. Please provide details on your budget below including any other sources of income that you may have or will apply for, for example NSF funding or another grant that you hold. *

 

14. Preferred dates: please provide three possible start dates in 2025 for your workshop. ICMS does not host any events in August. NB A minimum lead time of one year is normally necessary for events that are held at the ICMS. *

 

15. Referees: please provide the name, institution and email address of three referees. Referees should not be invited participants in the workshop. *
