With the government's expanded childcare offer for working families, the proportion of places which will be publicly funded is anticipated to rise to around 80 percent. The scale of local authorities' responsibilities will grow as they will need to be responsible for distributing more funds, supporting more parents to take up the offer and ensuring sufficiency of places to meet new demand. The purpose of this very short and anonymous survey is to take a quick litmus test of views of childcare providers, local authorities other key stakeholders about the future role of local authorities. This will inform Isos Partnership's policy development work in this area.
The survey consists of 10 statements which you are asked to strongly agree/agree/disagree/strongly disagree. There are also two optional free text boxes.
The survey is anonymous so, whilst we will ask you to describe the type of organisation you work for, we will not ask for your name or your organisation's name and will not retain any identifiable data.
