Grants for Carers Application Form

This is the application form for a Royal Society of Chemistry Grant for Carers.

Before completing your application we recommend you read our eligibility and guidelines on our website. 


Please note that you can make applications up to a maximum of £1200/year to assist with additional financial costs that you incur for care usually provided by you whilst you attend a chemistry related meeting, conference or workshop or a professional development event. 

Examples of applications that we will consider include:
·         paying for extra home help or nursing care for a dependent whilst you will not be present
·         additional medical/respite care for a dependent whilst you will not be present
·         travel expenses for a relative to accompany you to care for dependents whilst you attend a meeting or event
·         paying for extended hours of childcare to cover time when you will return home later than normal.

These grants have been supported by the Royal Society of Chemistry’s Chemists’ Community Fund.

The application form may take 15 minutes to complete. You can save a partially completed application form and return to it later. Once you have submitted your application you will not have any further opportunities to amend it. You should expect to hear the outcome within 6 weeks of your application.
