Guidance and Application process
*You cannot submit an application without a completed HR Form*
Complete the application form below and ensure all sections are completed. Missing information will be deemed as incomplete and will cause delays to your application. If you require assistance, please contact the PGME Team.
Attach your CV, completed HR form and your complete mandatory training report (which can be downloaded from your local learning and development website) when submitting your application form.
Once the placement is confirmed, further clearances are required.
After your placement is confirmed, you will need to need to pay a £10 deposit for ID cards, which will be fully refunded once the ID is returned after the placement.
Taster Placement ID Badges
Safeguarding is essential at Great Ormond Street and therefore we are asking doctors on taster placements to complete Level 1 Safeguarding Children prior to their start date. Child protection will not be used as a substitute for Safeguarding.
You will not commence placement at Great Ormond Street Hospital until you have received full clearance from the PGME Team.
During the placement you will be supervised by a responsible clinician or consultant to make sure you do not engage in any activity beyond your level of competence or pose a risk to the child, parents or other team members.
