Department for Transport – Higher Biocontent Fuel Deployment Research

1. Thank you for taking the time to compete this survey

0%

As part of the 2021 Transport Decarbonisation Plan, the DfT committed to collaborating with industry stakeholders to investigate ways of eliminating existing market barriers hindering the increased use of higher biocontent fuels such as B20 and HVO in HGV fleets. The Department is actively seeking to explore how these market barriers can be overcome in the pursuit of accelerating road transport GHG emission reduction.

I’m hoping you can spare 5-10 minutes to help shape the future of alternative HGV fuelling across the UK. By completing a short survey you will help the Department for Transport understand the key market barriers precluding the wider uptake of higher biocontent fuels in HGV fleets, and giving your perspective on what interventions can be introduced to overcome these. It’s essential that we get the opinions of HGV fleet operators and industry professionals like you as you will be the ones who will be procuring and running the vehicles. Without your input we will not be able to provide a realistic view of what can be done to incentivise the uptake of higher biocontent fuels as an interim solution whilst electric battery and hydrogen fuel cell (HFC) HGVs reach full deployment.

If you could complete the survey, it would be greatly appreciated. The deadline for completion is: 03/05/24.
