The Community Sports Leaders Level 2 award is designed for young people aged 13+ years. The course is designed for budding young sports coaches and young people who are interested in increasing their confidence and leadership skills through the power or sport.
The course is a nationally recognised qualification which will enable successful learners to be able to lead safe, purposeful and enjoyable sport/physical activity, under indirect supervision.
This course has been run since 2017 and Jersey Sport have demonstrated, and remain committed to, ensuring all learners are able to access a coaching pathway of their desire following the completion of the course – whether that be opportunities for voluntary work, paid employment and / or further coach education opportunities.
We are currently undertaking a review of the Community Sports Leaders Programme and will be taking expressions of interest for participants who wish to be involved when the course relaunches in 2025.
