Healthwatch East Sussex are holding a focus group for children aged 8 - 11 and their parent/guardian to hear experiences of paediatric care in East Sussex.
The session will be based around creative activities for children and parents/guardians. The activities will explore experiences of paediatric care and how they could be improved. The session will be facilitated by Culture Shift.
The group will be held on Wednesday 9th April 2025 at 2pm at the Hastings Centre, Hastings.

Eligibility criteria:
- This focus group is for children aged 8 - 11 with a physical health condition who have received treatment from Eastbourne District General Hospital (EDGH) or Conquest hospital, Hastings
- Your child should be accompanied by a parent/guardian who will also take part in the focus group
- You and your child are willing to discuss your experiences of paediatric care, and for anonymised responses from you/your child to be included in our report

Reward and recognition
To recognise your contribution to this work, each child and parent will receive a one-off £15 voucher for attending and participating in the group.
Feedback from our focus groups will be shared with NHS Sussex to improve care for children and young people. All information will be anonymised before being presented (neither you nor your child will be identifiable) and taking part in this focus group will not impact any current or future care.
