1. HCSWD Webinar Sessions

We are providing a series of regular webinar sessions, providing support and training, enabling you to have the best experience during the programme.

 

These sessions include:

  • Trainee Q&A Drop-in's (60 mins) - 1st Tuesday every month
  • Care Certificate Workbook Support Sessions (60 mins) - 2nd Tuesday every month
  • Mentor Drop-in's (60 mins) - 3rd Tuesday every month
  • Conflict Resolution Training (90 mins) - available every week, you will be contacted by the HCSWD team for booking closer to the time


Note Conflict Resolution Training is mandatory for all HCSWD trainees.

2. Trainee Q&A Drop-In Session (60 mins)
This session is an open session which is held by our Practice Development Nurses and members of our on-placement team. It is a chance for HCSWD trainees to ask any questions concerning their placement and the programme. This can be clinical or admin related.

These sessions are held on the first Tuesday of every month at 1 pm.

3. Care Certificate Workbook Support Session (60 mins)
This session is held by our Practice Development Nurses and members of our on-placement team. HCSWD Trainees can ask any questions relating to their workbooks which include the 15 standards and completion/sign off questions. These sessions will not have a fixed agenda as they are trainee led on any topic that they wish to discuss.

These sessions are held on the second Tuesday of every month at 4 pm.

4. Mentor Drop-in's (60 mins)
We are providing a series of regular drop-in's, aimed at Nurses and mentors on the ward who support trainee Healthcare Support Workers in their on-going training, coaching and skills development. We are happy to support new and existing Supervisors in understanding their role and the expectations. These sessions do not require any fixed agenda and are led by the mentors to cover any issues around the programme.

These sessions are held on the third Tuesday of every month at 1 pm.
