- The London Mathematical Society has set aside funds to be used for making grants up to £50 to support the travel costs and/or the caring costs of UK-based mathematicians so they can attend the Hardy Lectures from 30 May - 21 September 2023 (www.lms.ac.uk/events/lectures/hardy-lectureship).
- The grants are intended to contribute to the travel costs and/or the caring costs so that the grant holder can attend the Hardy Lectures that are held at a neighbouring university, not to meet them entirely.
- As there are limited funds available, the grants may be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Applicants should be mathematicians based at a UK institution.
- You do not need to be an LMS member to apply.
- The application form should be completed by the applicant.
- Applications should be submitted at least 3 working days before the date of the Hardy Lecture that the Applicant wishes to attend. Grants cannot be made retrospectively.
- Applications will be acknowledged by email. Applicants will be informed of the outcome by email.
- If your application is successful, you will be sent a ‘grant offer and claim form’ to complete. Grants will only be paid in arrears on receipt of a completed claim form and receipts/proof of travel/caring costs.
