NHS-R Community 2025

The aim of the NHS-R Community is to promote the use of R and open analytics in Health and Care. To do this, we have built a community of practice for analysis and data science using open-source tools, active across the NHS and wider UK Health and Care system.

We, the NHS-R Community Team, are dedicated to ensuring the sustainability of the NHS-R Community. This includes, but is not limited to, continuing to provide training, events and community engagement.

We need your help to understand our reach and value, so we are requesting feedback on how members interact with and use the NHS-R Community resources. We are keen to hear from all persons and organisations including the NHS, Local Authorities, Civil Service, Academics, Third sector, students and more.

It is very important to us that we hear from as many people as possible, regardless of the membership duration and/or experience with R (or other open-source solutions). Every voice is crucial in supporting the growth of the NHS-R Community thus, we implore you to share yours.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you in advance for taking the time to complete our survey!
