The Social Care Workforce £500 Thank You Payment – Application Portal for Personal Assistants is now CLOSED


 
On 30 November 2020 First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced a one-off pro rata payment for Scotland’s lifesavers and caregivers on the frontline throughout the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Eligible Personal Assistants were invited to apply for this thank you payment via an online application portal. The portal was open between 29th June and 25th August 2021 and was administered by Scotland Excel on behalf of the Scottish Government.

The application portal is now closed to new submissions from Personal Assistants.

I submitted my application before the deadline, how do I check its progress?

 
If you have already completed a submission form, and received the confirmation email, you don’t have to do anything just yet. Scotland Excel will be in touch with you directly regarding your application.

How long will my application take to be processed?

Scotland Excel aim to process applications within four weeks of the submission date wherever possible, but in some cases it can take longer to conclude the validation process. If clarification is required on any aspect of your submission Scotland Excel will be in touch.
 
If it has been more than four weeks since you made your submission you can contact the Scotland Excel team on papayments@scotland-excel.org.uk.

Once your submission has been processed you will receive email confirmation from Scotland Excel that your payment has been passed to Independent Living Fund (ILF) Scotland. ILF Scotland have been commissioned by the Scottish Government to make payments on their behalf.


How do I update my application if I entered the wrong information?

Why have I been asked to clarify my information?
 
You may be required to provide supporting evidence in relation to your claim. This could include confirming employer details, funding sources and pay periods. If this is necessary, Scotland Excel we will contact you to request this information. We may also get in contact with your employer to validate your submission.
