Privacy Statement
The Health and Social Care Alliance Scotland (the ALLIANCE) wants to hear from people currently accessing receiving medicines prescriptions, for themselves, or someone they care for, to inform the Scottish Government’s consultation ‘Achieving value and sustainability in prescribing medication’. The survey has 17 questions and should take no more than 5-10 minutes to complete.
Should you wish to respond, you will be asked questions of a sensitive and personal nature such as your experience with receiving prescription medicines and this information will be captured in our consultation submission to Scottish Government, which they may share with other interested parties and made public. The ALLIANCE may also use this information in relevant ALLIANCE reports and reference on social media.
Responses will not be attributed to specific individuals and will be completely anonymous but will be collated to provide statistical information.
Once the information has been made public, it will be accessible worldwide and remain public permanently.
You have the right to withdraw your consent at any time. However, you must note that should you withdraw your consent after information has been processed the ALLIANCE will not be able to remove your information from the analysis.
You also have the right to object to how we process your personal information, the right to access, correct, sometimes delete and restrict the personal and sensitive personal information we use.
Together with the right to receive your information in a machine-readable format for transfer to another organisation and not to be subject to a decision based solely on automated processing, including profiling.
The ALLIANCE is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. The personal data in the consultation response is being collected for the purposes as stated above.
The ALLIANCE and its sub-contractors will not distribute or disclose your personal information to third parties unless we have your written permission or are required by law to do so. We comply with the Data Protection Act 2018 and GDPR 2018 when handling your personal information.
