The Scottish Parliament’s Local Government, Housing and Planning Committee want your views on the barriers in place which means that some groups, such as women, young people and those from ethnic minority backgrounds are underrepresented in councils across Scotland.
The Committee wants to know why these barriers are in place and what should be done to improve the situation.
Please use this online questionnaire to share your views with the Committee. Information will be used to help the Committee’s questioning of witnesses and will contribute to our recommendations to the Scottish Government and public bodies.
