Seeking your opinions on designs for a new trust mark scheme.
The Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) is an independent authority set up to uphold your information rights. The ICO promotes data privacy for individuals and transparency for public bodies. You may have heard of the ICO’s work in relation to the misuse of charity mailing lists, the TalkTalk data security breach and stopping nuisance calls.
The ICO has announced that it will be introducing a new trust mark. The trust mark will be used as a ‘stamp of approval’ that indicates that an organisation’s product, process or service has been independently certified as reaching a high standard for handling personal information. It will help individuals decide which organisations they can trust with their personal information.
We are in the process of developing the new trust mark and would like your views. It would be helpful if you could complete this short questionnaire, which should take less than 5 minutes. In return, all respondents will be entered into a prize draw with one winner of £250.
